Questions? We have answers:

HOW MANY CAPSULES SHOULD I TAKE A DAY?

Take up to 4 capsules of DR.VEGAN® Fibre Complex each day. The optimal dosage each day of Fibre Complex is 4 capsules. However, if you’re new to taking a fibre supplement, and if you feel your fibre intake has been particularly low, we recommend starting with 1-2 capsules a day, and then adjusting accordingly and up to 4 capsules a day.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOLUBLE AND INSOLUBLE FIBRE?

Both soluble and insoluble fibre are vital to have in our diet. It is estimated 90% of the population has insufficient fibre in their diet, often referred to by nutritionists as ‘the fibre gap’.

Soluble fibre dissolves in water, forming a gel-like substance in the digestive tract. It can help lower cholesterol and stabilise blood sugar levels.

Insoluble fibre adds bulk to stools and helps decrease signs of constipation by promoting regular bowel movements.

Both types of fibre are essential for a balanced diet and overall wellbeing.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN BENEFITS OF FIBRE COMPLEX?

Fibre is vital for our overall gut health, and our gut health is central to our immune health, our brain and our mental wellbeing through the gut-brain axis, the health of our skin through the gut-skin axis, our heart health and much more.

More specifically, fibre plays a number of vital roles in maintaining optimal health, including supporting digestion by promoting regular bowel movements, helping regulate blood sugar levels, and supporting a healthy heart.

CAN I TAKE FIBRE COMPLEX WITH GUT WORKS®

Yes, Fibre Complex can be taken with Gut Works®. If your diet is low in fibre, it is generally recommended to take Fibre Complex alongside Gut Works®.

Gut Works® is the award-winning prebiotic and probiotic for bloating, constipation and other gut health issues. With six clinically studied strains of healthy active bacteria, providing 50bn CFU (colony forming units), Gut Works® repopulates your gut microbiome with healthy, active bacteria.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE FIBRE COMPLEX?

If you’re new to taking a fibre supplements, we recommend you start taking Fibre Complex in the evening. This is because Fibre Complex promotes regular stool movements, so if you have been constipated, you don’t want to be caught short when out and about.

However, Fibre Complex can be taken at any time of the day, and you can take the four capsules together or separately. You can also open the contents of the capsule and add the ingredients on foods if you don’t like swallowing capsules. Great foods to add Fibre Complex to include porridge, overnight oats, cereal or yoghurts.
