      What is Apple Fibre?

Apples are naturally rich in a range of active nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and polyphenols. Apples contain pectin which is a unique type of dietary fibre. Pectin is a soluble fibre that supports healthy and normal blood cholesterol levels, and studies also show it can help manage blood glucose
levels by reducing blood glucose spikes that occur after that meal.

A study of over 10,000 women over 12-15 yrs reported significantly lower risk of high blood pressure (hypertension) in the group consumer higher flavone and flavanols, of which one of the major sources was apples.

In another study, the consumption of apple fibre isolate along with other fruits, was shown to help reduce gut transit time, suggesting that apple fibre provides better outcomes when it acts synergistically with other forms of fibre.
