    What is Red Clover?

Red Clover is a legume, like lentils and beans, that has been studied for its ability to relieve menopause symptoms. It contains isoflavones, which are phytoestrogens, that are naturally occurring  compounds in plants that have a similar structure to oestrogen. Red Clover is acclaimed for helping eliminate menopausal discomfort and supporting your cardiovascular function, normalising blood pressure, helping strengthen your blood vessels and increasing the elasticity and strength of blood vessels and capillary walls.

Symptoms of menopause are the result of hormonal imbalances and the reduced production of oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone. The phytoestrogens in plants like Red Clover bind to the body’s oestrogen receptors, helping to regulate the levels of hormones, providing relief from symptoms of menopause including hot flushes and vaginal atrophy. The reduction in oestrogen during menopause weakens bones, leading to increased risk of fractures, the loss of bone density and the development of conditions including osteoporosis.
