Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 1 bunch of kale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, smoked paprika, or nutritional yeast for extra flavour
Method
- Prepare: Preheat your oven to 150°C. Wash the kale thoroughly, then dry it completely with a clean kitchen towel. Make sure the kale is fully dry to ensure crispiness.
- Remove stems: Remove the tough stems from the kale leaves and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- Season: Place the kale pieces in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. If using, add garlic powder, smoked paprika, or nutritional yeast for extra flavour. Toss the kale until evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
- Bake: Spread the kale pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20–25 minutes, checking occasionally to prevent burning. The kale chips should be crisp and slightly browned at the edges.
